Had a friend get caught in the storm on their way to work, and another friend drive out to save her, and they both died. Don't go into work if the weather is this bad, even if they threaten to fire you. It's not worth it guys

Crazy weather in some areas, not having power is definitely the worst part for many. This day and age everyone needs to invest into some sort of generator and heating devices even if its only enough to keep a room or 2 warm.

I've seen comments from people saying "in my country we're prepared for snow & have equipment to handle this just fine, " then mocking the US for being ill prepared or "weak, " for taking this so seriously.

Yeah, many parts of the US (especially in the north) have those things too! This isn't you average snow storm. You think Buffalo, NY isn't used to dealing with blizzards? Try being more empathetic & paying attention to the real severity of what's going on across the country.

Unnecessary use of electricity? but, but what about charging those electric cars you forced people to buy. There's always an excuse for you not to use electricity but yet they want electric cars to replace ICE vehicles?
