Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 Review – The Final Verdict

Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is absolutely amazing on the pitch, proving that as far as pure simulation goes, Konami's franchise still reigns supreme. But in all other areas, its refusal to improve is starting to become increasingly frustrating, to the point where several such flaws are actively damaging the experience in many ways.

I think pes has made some brilliant changes graphically. On ps4 and pc you can download all the kits and leagues so easily and it looks amazing. The gameplay has become incredible. Honestly its engrossing, enthralling and no two games are the same. The tactics are great. The freedom in the way you can pass on pass support 1 or manual means you are actually controlling the play properly. All the money fifa has and they cant recreate the game of football. If you want to talk about jarring breaks in immersion and things that spoil the experience, start with gameplay. Fifa is so boring because it plays a fluid brand of game....every game. Fifa is arcadey and pes is feeling like a sim. Both shpuld be dealt with seperately and not judged the same. Its like judging forza against assetto corsa. Why cant people see this? Pes is a nine at least. This years iteration is a masterpiece. 7? I think thats really a poor review....

To be honest license is a problem yes of course.. EA would not allow etc so Konami cannot be blame for it.
That's why option files is provided.
Even though Pes has Liverpool and Barcelona license EA still uses the dress code and do not change the name FCB also. That's the difference.
PES Gameplay is far better than FIFA, only foolish will argue about it. Yes presentation and all goes to FIFA even Pes community admit it.

Very negative... you basically just talked about the things fifa is better at and pes lacks or doesn't have. So you basically just judged it not on what it is but what it isn't. What if people would judge fifa on what it is, a football game, instead of all the addictive crap around it, the reviews wouldn't be pretty.

All those reviews are made by haters. they say PES lacks the licenses but don't tell people that there is a solution for that. they say the gameplay is good but don't explain how. you are judging a football game on the UI.

Licensing is easily bypassed by downloading uniforms and game edit data from pesfan forums... Now even team names and chants are recreated.

Simple experiment. Watch PES competitions on YouTube(google PES finals) ... Then try to watch FIFA finals and laugh at how boring FIFA plays.

Pes Universe will sort you out with real team names, strips, proper league names, cup names, etc etc. And yeah the commentary team need replaced asap....

this game is awesome. Master League is a lot better than 2 years ago and on the field is crazy good. You can go online and download everything for non-licensed leagues anyway 9/10

Xbox players can not download option files. Those things are mods, and a review can not be based on mods, its based on thr actual original Game

pes 2019 has major problem :
ai attacking style always low crossing & never shoot outside the box.

I've played it on superstar, every team plays exactly the same, low cross and more low cross.
I honestly think pes 2018 is the better game

I’m a bit hating on the same lighting used in all current games. It’s not quite the “Next Gen” orange filter we had in the past, it’s more like a “Golden Hour” lighting setting. It’s used here, I see it used in Battlefield V, and I see it used in Cyberpunk 2077. It does not look bad, it just look samey.
