that's because the "strength" of the DXY is relative to the strength of all other currencies. however, the actual strength of the dollar is its cumulative inflation which attributes to half of the stock market gains. It's how the rich siphon from the poor. Depreciate cash purchasing power and drive up stock prices with inflation.
