The tailor-made Geislinger Damper is specifically designed for applications, where high performance, the most compact design and low cost of ownership is requested. It provides constant stiffness and high damping throughout its service life. The Geislinger Damper is often used in combination with a Geislinger Monitoring System which enables an early detection of critical loads. The torsional vibration steel spring damper allows for lowest life-cycle cost (LCC).
It reliably protects engine crankshafts, camshafts, intermediate or propeller shafts in all kinds of powertrain applications. By influencing the critical frequency and the significant reduction of torsional amplitudes, the Geislinger Damper can also help to avoid a barred speed range. As modern engines tend to create more than one critical frequency, Geislinger has developed compact dual damper solutions as well as combinations of a Geislinger Damper and a Geislinger Vdamp®. This design flexibility guarantees the best solution for every type of engine and powertrain.
