Alabama Football rumors and news today focus on the recruiting side. The Alabama Crimson Tide had several recruits in for visits over the weekend and there’s growing buzz of possible commitments coming. Host Tom Downey looks at the latest on 5-star LB Demarcus Riddick, who could flip from Georgia as well as 4-stars Cai Bates, Caleb Odom and Daniel Hill.

Daniel Hill took an unofficial visit to Alabama over the weekend & likely to visit officially in June. His recent Top 8 included Alabama, who is likely more of a Top 5 school for him. Hill will likely end up as a RB in college.

Caleb Odom is one of the top TEs in the nation, ranking #6 in the 247Sports composite at the position. He took an official visit to Alabama and came away very impressed. It seems like Alabama is the new favorite for him. Alabama appears to be trending towards more TE usage under offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.

Caleb Odom on his visit to Alabama: “After the OV I realized everything felt right. It was a great visit and they jumped out in front now … Alabama made it tough and I’ll leave it at that.”

Demarcus Riddick on why he’s visiting Alabama this month: “Really, just to get to know more about the academics. Keep the relationship with the coaches [going]. That’s about it. I’ve seen everything. I pretty much know everything… I just want to get to know more about the academics and see what the dorm rooms look like. Alabama is a perfect school. At first, I didn’t really like Alabama like that. But when I got to build that relationship with the coaches and meet some of the players, I was like, ‘Oh, Alabama’s not that bad. I think I can possibly play here.’ I love that school… Alabama is the hometown.”

MJ because he waited his turn, didn't whine( at least not loud enough to hear) and when he got his chance he gave it hell. That was a finely tuned team. I can't remember worrying at any point that year. Then JH....I don't have to say why. But lets be clear, the other guys didn't waste no hype.
