Nourali, a Dutch adventurer, through her humble camera, was able to change much of what we learned about Saudi Arabia. It is a desert country covered in sand and uninhabitable. But Nourali's camera proved to us that Saudi Arabia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and that its people are generous, hospitable, and compassionate. Thank you, Nourali, who deserves all the support and honor, and thank you, Saudi Arabia.

I'm from Saudi Arabia and I know this road. It's one of the most dangerous roads in the Medina region and its always get destroyed during the rainy season. If you go south for 50 km~ you'll reach the highway and you can safely take the road to Medina. I think this is belated advice and you are already in Medina.
I wish you a pleasant and safe trip in Saudi Arabia.

I love how you just see what needs to be done and get it done. No crying, whining, or tantrums. You are an extremely strong person.

I just want to mention that there are well paved, six lanes highways connects all cities in Saudi Arabia but Noraly as an adventurer likes to use back roads to show us the beauty of nature.

This was one of the most significant volcanic eruptions in the Arabian Peninsula. The lava flow lasted for several days, reaching up to 8 kilometers from Al-Masjid An-Nabawi. Fortunately, the city itself was spared, and no major casualties were recorded.

Geological Insights 🌍🔬
Harrat Rahat is the largest of the Arabian volcanic fields, covering an area of approximately 20, 000 km².
The 1256 AD eruption was a fissure eruption, where lava emerged from a 13-km-long crack in the Earth's crust.
The lava was basaltic, similar to the lava found in Iceland and Hawaii, which typically has a low viscosity and can travel long distances.
The Arabian Peninsula lies within the Red Sea Rift zone, an area of active geological movement, which explains the presence of these volcanic fields.
Saudi Arabia still monitors volcanic activity in the region, as the area remains geologically active! 🏔🔥

Riding on roads like that with a heavily laden bike is impressive. I am a big guy, 6'3" 250 pounds, and even for me when I was younger, picking up my XT600 was a struggle at times. I finely had to sell it and bought a smaller little TW200 and last year, I had to sell it too. Because, at 77 years of age, I just could not do the dirt trails that I dearly loved.

That road was in horrible shape, but beautiful in its own way. The lava fields that went forever were truly very beautiful. Where I live in Idaho, we have an area called "Craters of the Moon." It has some beautiful lava flows, but nothing like what you showed us today.

Since you are all alone most of the time, I think that you should carry an extra shift lever. Whenever the bike tips over on the left side, that poor little lever takes a beating. You do not want to make the lever more robust, because instead of destroying an easily replaced lever, it would bend the shifter shaft. I know that caring more weight is not an appealing thought, but, being out in the middle of nowhere, plus, being on a very lightly traveled road and breaking something major is much worse.

I love the scenery that you show us on your travels. I had no idea about what I thought that that country looked like, but I was amazed after watching your videos. That is a beautiful area.
