I had a full blown custom Masterbuilt done by Dennis Galuszka .. ebony fretboard, AAA birds eye maple neck, and 9v preamp... it's one of a kind instrument, it's amazing!  Only thing is I replaced the generic Fender pre-amp with a Sadowsky pre-amp and I put Joe Barden pickups on it, for a fully customized bass.. its' awesome now.

The sun burst master build is one of the nicest basses ever seen!

I ordered a left handed 1959 custom shop Fender Precision. The truss rod was frozen solid. I tried everything to loosen it and in the end Returned it. Totally unforgivable. I own a Lefty Master built 1975 Fender Jazz. Flawless and I can also bring the strings down to the frets if desired with 0 buzz.

Very interesting. That P Bass is pretty much exactly what I could configure given the option. If only I had the funds

Hey guys quick question. He said that the Custom Shop basses instantly become collectible. What exactly does that mean? What does it mean when a bass is collectible? Thanks for your time guys!

I'm a Custom Shop fanboy through and through, but to say that you have to go Masterbuilt just to get a 24 fret board is terrible...where else do you have to pay thousands of dollars more just for an extended range fingerboard...?...still, Fender Custom Shop basses are the bomb.com...

Sounds like you gotta be hardcore as fuck to pay up for master built. Doesn't seem worth it... Maybe if you're playing a long game and you sell it 20 years from now for like 30-50 grand or something...

Seems like a money thing. Custom shop looks to just be custom shit... Not necessarily better than Fender american standards or pro standards. Possibly worse if you're unlucky... For example birds eye maple and flame maple tends to warp easier. But still... Like I said... If you're hardcore and in it for the money... It's okay.

High end standard stuff is that best over all though. It's just what most folks are used to.

Yeah. Sounds like "American Standard" has been downgraded in quality to make room for Cu$tom Shop.

so masterbuilds are still built by a bunch of different people, not one masterbuilder...ok lol

ok, dont tell me that the fender guy isnt here just for show, he is the lamest "salesman", if it is really like this and people know about it than they are clearly buying fenders just for the name and have no idea about basses
i hope he doesnt know what hes talking about

($3000-$7000 for a f&€%!n guitar!..Jesus! lol 😅)
I can remember the days when Fender didn’t _need_ a ‘cu$tom shop’ or ‘ma$terbuilt’ department.... they were all just great guitars at attainable prices... but what do I know, .. I’m just an old fuddy-duddy.. 👴🏻
