Recording at Intervals (TIME-LAPSE RECORDING)

This function enables the changes of a scene that occur slowly over a long period to be shown within a short time by taking frames of it at a certain interval.
This is useful for making observations such as the opening of a flower bud.

JVC's GZ-HM320 HD Camera provides you with HD recording that's also budget-friendly. The GZ-HM320 records up to 3 hours and 35 minutes of 1920 x 1080 HD video to an 8GB internal flash memory, and up to 14 hours and 40 minutes of HD footage to an optional 32GB SD/SDHC memory card.

The heart of the camera is made up of a 1/5.8" 1.37MP CMOS sensor. The sensor works together with the Konica Minolta lens, 20x optical zoom, and JVC's Advanced Image Stabilizer to capture brilliant video and still images. And another key component, the Advanced Image Stabilizer, works to counter the adverse affects of camera shake.

Record your footage in 1920 x 1080 high definition, for high quality recording and long-lasting compatibility. The Everio also offers up to 1920 x 1080/60p playback for viewing the fullest possible image quality on your HDTV
I love the camera, havent really fully played with it yet. but very easy to use out of the box, and works great outdoors in the day time. Doesnt work that good with in-door low lighting. microphone doesnt work that well , but does ok for simple recordings. Battery life is not long, but is not expensive to get accessories such as additional battery and charger. I recommend doing that. Use VLC player to view files transfered to PC , it will play fine with the latest vlc player. I havent burned to dvd yet, i am sure you need a better 3rd party software to do such task.
