Great video. This was the song that introduced me to The Midnight. My favorite song by them. Nicely done. As a child of the 80s, these guys have found a way of introducing me to songs that I have never heard before while simultaneously making me feel like I've heard them a thousand times.

This song as a great meaning to me. I bought this album day one, and I was having a hard time with my love life. This song helped me focus on recovering what I could. Unfortunately it didn't work out. Now, everytime I hear this song, I remember those times, and it makes me a bit "nostalgic" of that time, when I was so much in love that I could fight anything to defend it. Getting caught up on some of your earlier videos. Comeback Kid is definitely an inspirational track. I tend to bounce back and forth from the instrumental version and this one when I'm out driving. The music conjures slightly different emotions for me when it's on its own vs with the lyrics (which I love). I think you nailed the meaning in your opening comments.
