Free Women’s Self Defense Seminar THIS SUNDAY! If you’re still on the fence, here’s why…

1) You don’t want to get hurt
2) You don’t want to get trapped under some guy they’ve never met
3) You don’t think self-defense will actually work for THEM

Not to worry though, this is EXACTLY why we created the Women Empowered jiu-jitsu program…

1) You’re going to be learning a structured beginner curriculum with other incredible women who actually want to help you every step of the way.

2) Safety and hygiene are the number one priority, so you can focus all of your energy on learning this new skill.

3) You will unlock your body’s full potential by learning self-defense techniques that actually work, and have been proven effective against larger opponents over the last 100 years.

Join us at this weekend’s FREE 2.5-hour Women Empowered seminar here @gracieuniversityhq in Torrance, California, and at Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Centers all over the world.

And if you don’t have a seminar location near you, the entire program can be accessed online so you can learn it all, and earn your Pink Belt, from anywhere in the world!

Ladies, if you want to start BJJ but are concerned about any of these reasons, here’s my advice as a longtime practitioner.

Just show up. Watch a few classes. Talk to the coaches. Get the general vibe of the gym. Trusting the coaches are any good, the fears you have will dissipate pretty quickly. BJJ is hard. It’s gonna be a long road to the top wherever you’re a 120lbs Olympian or was a 6’3” 320lbs utility lineman like I was. Discomfort is part of the process. But you’ll never actually know if you can mentally handle it if you never even show up.

Frankly as a guy, those are some of the reasons I stopped practicing judo.

I don't mind the pain or getting hurt. I don't want someone rubbing up against me or sweating all over me. When I was younger I was a lot more tolerant and comfortable. I'll just carry a force multiplier.

I whole heartedly agree about the sweaty guy. I was in this one class when i was about 16 or so. Keep in mind, i am a huge germaphobe when it comes to human bodily fluids. Be it blood, puke, pee, poo, sweat...blegh!!
Anyway, i was training with this other kid, 14 or so, and hes a big kid, so he sweats real easy. Bends over and comes up sweating. So, i got stuck training with him, and his sweat dripped all over my hand.
Of course he apologized profusely and im standing there trying not to throw up with a pale look on my face

I once rolled with a beginner jujitsu girl and every time we would get too close or skin touching she would tap, she would ask me what technique I'm doing and just tap for some reason🤦‍♂️ for instance when I'm on top, when I nail her hips to the ground so I can pass her guard, when I'm trying to do a rear naked choke from back control and when achieving turtle position🤷‍♂️

They don’t want to feel like they’re being groped.

I love your approach but I want to remind you not to overlook the obvious: weakness is a weakness and it is not a virtue. If you're weak enough, even good techniques and mindset won't win a fight. A skinny girl may never be able to get strong enough to out box a big gang member, but if she's really weak, she can still get stronger and thus make her locks, chokes, grabs, and escapes more consistent and impactful.

That is just some women not the rest. Focus more on the one the want to learn BJJ. Stop convince the one makes excuse to not come in the first place to come. Just mark them out of the game.
