I'm not saying that Star Wars should totally ditch movies, but I do believe that for spin off stuff like Mandalorian, should be Tv-shows. If Disney really wants to do a continuation of the sequels, it should be movies. If they want to do more spin off stuff, then do make it a Tv-show. That would be much better for both the money and fans. If a new trilogy will be made, I hope John Favreau directs it, because he saved a dying franchise. He is the future for Star Wars. If Disney doesn't hire him to do a new trilogy, I'll be pissed, and so will you!

One thing I love about this series is that it doesn't ignore the prequels. Whether you like them or not, they are forever a part of SW Canon and have a HUGE fanbase that only grows as the kids who loved the prequels grow up into adult viewers.

Incorporating them competently should be a strict requirement for any and all Star Wars properties. The sequel trilogy feels only remotely related not just to the preceding movies, but to each other. The Mandalorian serves not only as an enthralling expanded universe adventure, but a better sequel to the OT and PT trilogies than the ones we actually got.
