I first heard about Esteban from his infomercial on late night TV back in the early 2000s. I would just chill and watch, being young and not able to afford the guitar or the lessons, it was ok. The brief moments of guitar mastery were enough. You are an icon, Esteban.

You were foundational in my early interest in art. I'd sit and watch your videos, draw and relax. It was an escape for me for a while. I'd have your music in my playlist growing up, and I still have some of those files that I listen to nostalgically once in a while. I recently lost a job I loved to corporate greed. I donated some things meant for the dumpster to people who needed them. I had to pop open the Esteban, because I needed this paternal and knowing tone to explain without words to me...that "everything is okay. Another job will happen soon, I'll survive the interim, and with myself closer to my goals in that I want to help more people. Some people have no concept of nuance, and they will end up hardened by hatred."

You've always radiated kindness. Just know that when people need it the most, they seek your sound.
