How to setup COURSE COMPLETION in a MOODLE 4.0 course

One of the clever features of Moodle is that you can setup a process to capture course completion. Once a student completes all the required tasks in Gradebook or other tasks and items in a course, then you can trigger the course completion function that will allow you to report when a student has completed a course. Setup is simple and this video will explain the basic setup process.

Hello everyone, hello @Chris Richter.

Thank you so much for your videos. I learn a lot from them.

I have been designing a course series on moodle 4.0. I want the students to access the next course only after an initial/previous one has been completed. Which is what led me to this video. From what I can tell so far, “Course completion” does not allow course restriction (it works only for grades and analytics purpose). All my research didn’t match as I decided to post a comment here to ask for advice or any other solution that might work.

Thanks a lot.

Love the tutorials - really helpful. But there's one thing i'm really struggling with and thats actually grading the course. I've obviously missed one vital section but the grades come through from the different sections (quiz and reading material), i see a pass of fail grade, as well as the pass total and grade total, but as the student, they don't receive a grade as when i log in as the teacher, i have no options to actually pass the student. ANy suggestions or links that might help? thanks 🙏
