What a musical journey over the last few days. Started the ESC week with my personal favorite "Ulveham" by Gåte. As we now know, Gåte was partly responsible for the fact that it just wasn't enough for the ESC final. But who is this artist with this strikingly in the best sense different song? Aiko. Current album "Fortune's child". I myself am a on a sunday born child, who are said here to be fortune's children. First thought: not really my kind of music, but very interested to dive in. Worked me through the releases: "Fortune's child" -> "Expiration Date" -> "Aiko". Nearly every song catches and hits me. At the moment I'm pretty "Restless". In any case, I'm a perfectionist through and through. This voice from heaven, the profound lyrics and this unique self described "dreamy" sound. At the moment im totally obsessed with your music. <3 It may be that you didn't make it to the ESC final. But im sure that the participation will bring a lot of new fans and followers for this simply too unknown and underrated seeming music with a lot of masterpieces. Next, I have to find out whether "Aiko" is simply based of letters of the artist's real name or has also references to the asian japanese culture. I also feel connected to this in a certain way. <3
