Who really is Pyro?

Who even is Pyro in TF2. It’s now been 17 years since Team fortress was released and what's crazy is it still has people playing it like there is still an active player base for this game and a character that always intrigued me from TF2 is Pyro. Pyro is a very unique playable character for a number of reasons. First, you never hear his voice. He wears a gas mask, so all you can hear are excited muffles, which is super goofy. Plus with his trailer we see that his psyche is a bit cooked. The dude moes people down like it’s nothing but in his mind they are just having fun together. Like This dude is probably more insane than the Joker. We don’t know much about him as a character but the little we do know can't even be trusted because Pyro doesn't just have visual hallucinations but also audio hallucinations so if you ask pyro a question he has no idea what you're even asking. But still there are many theories about who pyro is. Some say he is just a mentally ill guy or even a girl but some other theories are much darker. Some say Pyro is SCP 4557 aka 3 racoons in a suit. I personally like this idea.

Pyro is just someone who sees the world through the eyes of a small child thinking they're spreading joy and happiness although they're actually murdering people and causing heighnous acts of arson

IMO It's better for Pyro to be a mystery forever cause it's fun to speculate on who it is. If they did revealed it, what's the fun in that?

The pyrovision goggles in-game show that he's not hallucinating everything, a good portion of it is actually the goggles.

We actually do hear his voice as there are many voicelines in the game where you can tell what he's saying, like the "Medic!" voiceline.

I think pyro as a character is meant to be a blank slate because your able to like customize them however you want, like that’s also why pyro has the most cosmetics
