Here is my attempt of bringing back the theatrical brightness to this scene. There is so much hidden detail, its crazy. Notice the wounds, scales, and even blood.

Damn! All this time I thought that the MUTOs were just smacked and hooked Godzilla with their knuckles. Turns out they really did stab him! That blood

Look at all the little details like when godzilla roars his face and nostrils jiggle and pulse gotta loves those little details and the scale is just as I remember, COLOSSAL!!!

The one thing I always loved about Godzilla 2014 was the way Gareth Edwards filmed the monsters from a human perspective, it made Godzilla and the Mutos feel gigantic and I would really like to see them do more like this in future films

Oh my goodness. It's...it's _beautiful._ I feel like a blind man who's seeing the world for the very first time.

Gareth Edwards had such a strong understanding of the size and scale of these creatures. If only the screenwriting matched the direction

The power of that slam though, really shows the size and force.

I.... CAN.... SEE!!! But seriously though, this is really cool to see the fight all bright like this and this honestly is my second favorite final battle in the Monsterverse.

Imagine the strength that Muto has to have to stay aloft being that size. The wings would be putting off hurricane-level winds.

I remember watching this movie in the cinema that it wasn’t as dark as people complained about. The theatrical version was lot brighter than people remember and that’s cuz the dvd/Blu ray transfer to the movie was poorly lite and something went wrong. So thank you for sharing us this and I prefer this a lot more to the dvd transfer.

1:45 for some reason this shot of him kicking her over is one of my favorite shots in the monsterverse
Just the way he steps looks so badass and the explosion when she falls.

I love the slower battle style of Godzilla and the MUTO in this movie over the faster paced fighting in KOTM and even GvK. It really allows the viewers to admire each shot and movement on screen and makes it seem as if the battle is lasting longer. Not saying I disliked the monster fights in KOTM and GvK, I loved those. But in Godzilla 2014, it is visually more rewarding. Especially with the enhanced brightness in the newer re-releases of the Blu-Ray discs.

Gareth Edwards KNEW how to frame and film these monsters. So stunning

I still think 2014 had the best fights of the new Zilla films. They did such a great job with scale, mass, and movement of these colossal beasts. Much of it was lost in KotM and GvK, where the monsters all moved like they were a fraction of their actual size.

When the movies felt like they had weight and you could almost imagine and be in awe of what it would be like if these titans actually existed. Now we have this hollow earth mumbo jumbo with Godzilla doing backflips lmao

This right here is what the subtle difference to me has been from Gareth Edward's Godzilla to the new much more action focused movies. This shot here gives a sense of how truly massive the MUTO is, and many other shots, aside from being astounding like the descent into San Francisco, also use this method of using objects that everyone knows the size of like humans or cars in the foreground to give a sense of scale to the massive creatures on a 2D screen. Bravo Gareth.

Let's be honest we want this quality of CGI being maintained ...this was the cleanest CGI in Monsterverse movie ever

0:16 mark is one of my favorite shots of this movie. It’s so mysterious and agile how Godzilla makes an entrance. Everything from watching his tail disappear into the dark. 😎
