I came to Philippines in March 2014 to meet my now wife, came home and started the paperwork for K1 visa and she arrived in US on Oct 4th, 2014 and were married Dec. 2014. Now planning on moving there in near future.

Thanks Pea, great information. We filled out ds-160 and are about to pay. Trying to get her a visa to come to Texas for a couple of months. My condo is directly across from the US Embassy and I can look down and see lots of people que up early in the mornings to go in for an interview. Hope you have a great time in the US. This is great insight and information about making the VISA application process easier and less stressful. Thanks for sharing your personal experiences in this matter. It really is strange that some people think they can just lie their way through the borders and get away with it.

I like the fact that you respect the laws and culture, knowing that you are "just a guest" (in your own words) and that you know that any improper behavior may hinder any future travel plans you may or may not have. Enjoy your stay in the USA, have some fine wine, fine food, and enjoy some fine company of the locals.
