Today, the crew at Griggs Farms get started with the much anticipated 2021 soybean crop. Matt is expecting big yields and immediately gets his yield competition done. But have the recent heavy rains degraded the crop quality and reduced yield???

Variable rating fertilizer is the way to go Matt. We’ve been doing it for a long time. And now with the ability to do it strip tilling it’s that much better. A VR strip till rig is not cheap but the results have more then paid for it.

The input chemical cost increases you expect for next year... how far along with Regenerative Agriculture system are you getting, far enough to mostly eliminate chemicals? Your RA videos got me on your channel. I grew up on conventional tillage and trying to learn RA myself, testing this winter and spring. Many of the RA farmers are reporting higher yields than they had before with tillage and chemicals and now much higher profits not needing to spend on chemicals. Maybe you've done enough to make the break to very little or no fertilizer/etc?
