If you don't have clients lined up, get the 2.5 gpm to start. If you have the money for a big machine that's great, but if you're on a budget, getting started sooner is more important than waiting for a bigger rig.

Pay off the 2.5 after a few jobs, get more equipment with the money you save, buy a 4+ gpm machine with the money you make and keep the 2.5 as a backup.

You should keep in mind that if you're just starting out you likely won't have enough business to make "big equipment" logical. Ie. Maybe you only have 1 job a day, and that job takes you 3 hrs with smaller equipment. What difference is it going to make for you to safe an hour? Start with something moderate, invest to the expensive equipment when you see your business can justify the costs.

Incorrect. The psi does most of the work. Concrete detergents are there to kill microorganisms not remove deep stains

When you're starting a business I don't think you're going to go out and buy a 5 gallon per minute machine, those are extremely expensive.

Could you help me out? I have a “commercial” powerwasher however I’m not sure if I can run a bypass water line from powerwasher to the water tank. (When I release the trigger I would like the water to continue to flow)
But I don’t know where to connect that water line on the pump??
