I have been mounting gear this way for years and agree this is the best method to mount them. I have never had a issue using this method.

The good thing about using the blind nuts, is that it ensures an clean break with the nylon bolts..food for thought..

Now this is a great idea!🤠👍. The heads would rather shear-off then base/fuse damage.

That is what I use...steel to make the connection with blind nuts, and switch to nylon bolts for a breakaway gear on rough landings..you have read the same articals.
