Strangely I have the same style remote with the same opening at the bottom but there is no A23 battery -- instead an inaccessible coin battery and I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to take the remote all the way apart without breaking it.

Thank you for this helpful video, I had to reprogram my remote after changing the battery because it was my spare remote and I hadn't used it for a few years, reprogramming the remote was simple as well.

Thanks for the video. My Gennie remote is not working, I tested the battery. It is 9.5 volts, does it need to changed?
