Increased fracking is bringing more hazardous train traffic through St. Louis. The fire department says it doesn't have the staff and the supplies to contain an accident. St. Louis's Fire Chief talked about how oil is being fracked faster than they can prepare and how this type of substance is more increasingly volatile. Our investigation looked at what an oil train derailment might do to a neighborhood as we looked at tracks and bridges in the metro area. We found a safety hazard under one of the longest Mississippi River train bridges; a ground support with so much corrosion that the walls appeared to bend. We notified Terminal Railroad and inspectors immediately fortified it.
