Son of Ra, the Falcon God: Who is Horus? #mythology

Показать описание
In Egyptian mythology, Horus is a god revered as the protector of the kingdom, the divine representation of the pharaohs and the ruler of the sky. Horus is often depicted with a falcon-headed human torso or entirely as a falcon.
His eye is called the "Wedjat" and is considered a symbol of protection. Horus is also known for his combative personality. He won the title of pharaoh by fighting with his uncle Seth in the struggle for the throne. This struggle is interpreted as an allegory for the dominance of the pharaohs and Egypt's constant struggle between order and chaos.
Horus is also seen as a bridge between the land of the dead and the world of the living.
