Is The New Triumph Tiger 1200 Game Changing?

Two years ago, Triumph introduced a new-generation Tiger 1200 featuring an all-new engine, a revised chassis, an updated electronics package, and a lighter curb weight. Updating the Tiger so soon after its debut shows just how important it is to Hinckley to remain at the pointy end of an incredibly competitive category. Now, Triumph increased the engine’s rotational inertia, adopted Active Preload Reduction on the rear shock, and refined the ergonomics. Does this revised Tiger 1200 truly live up to its promise as a worthy choice for your next adventure?

I've had a '23 Rally Explorer for a little over a year now. The vibration issue seems to be up to the individual. I have no issues with it at all. I did put Evotech hand guards with bar end weights on it. That reduced what little vibes were there. The bar end weights were a bonus. They just came with the hand guards. I've spent many hours on the highway and it's one of the most comfortable bikes I've ever ridden. Is it the perfect bike? No. I don't think one exists and I've ridden all the "high end" adventure bikes. I've ridden the '24 Tiger as well and I agree, great for the first time buyer, but not worth it if you've already got a '22 or a '23.

The older models have had the suspension lowering using the home button for more than a year now. It was added by firmware update.

Still got my 2012 Explorer with 55, 587 miles... Was this close to buying the new Tiger 1200 then Triumph introduced the 1200RR, and i had to have it. My 2012 Explorer is a beast and too heavy for me now. I think the 900 GT Pro will be my next purchase.

I was bought up to use a gearbox, car or bike, so I have no problem using a gearbox to overtake, corner, uphill, or whatever. If you don't want to use a gearbox buy an automatic.

I would love to see if I could get the dampened handlebar mount put on my 23 GT Explorer.

And what about all the owners who bought the previous model and are now having major problems getting their asses kicked by Triumph?

I doubt I'd give up my Versys 1000.
Why??
Comfort, smooth inline 4 cyl. Japanese reliability.

im really annoyed about the triumph 900/1200 adventure models with the new T plane crank ..no one ..not one journalist mentioned the vibrations and i bought a 22 900 .. a truly beautiful all purpose bike, and had to sell it 3 months later as i found it unrideable due to the vibrations ( yes i understand its a personal issue ) ..but only now with both the updated models are the journos saying “yeah the last models were vibey and the updates help”…i personally will not buy another one because of the gaslighting that happened on the original model by the press

So many things that can and eventually will break. When it's out of warranty.

Seems nice, but all the ElectroJimCrackery is just tiresome. Many want it it, but nobody needs it for $15k+....

Reliability, design and warranty issues prevent me from buying another Thai-rumph.
