Preludium and Fugue in D Major - BWV 532

This performance was part of a concert given by Sietze de Vries on January 21, 2023.

Sietze de Vries is internationally active both as a concert organist and church musician. His organ teachers included, among others, Wim van Beek and Jos van der Kooy, the latter with whom De Vries also studied improvisation, as well as with Jan Jongepier. In addition to his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees he also holds the Dutch professional church music certificate with a specialisation in improvisation.

The final pedal-solo was just... blissful.
I don't know if Belgian Omroep recorded all these concerts, but a. LIVE Bach box on CD would be something VERY special. This Flentrop is gorgeous.

I enjoyed every note. Thank you very much for this gripping performance.
It is rarely necessary to embellish Bach, but if you do it skilfully, as Sietze de Vries does, go for it!

Should be a space restricted on balcony to built a short pedalboard.
For tall organists with long feet its another "trial" for feet passages (Left/Right swap)
