Woodturning a Snowflake Bowl - Resin Art with Changing Colors

Показать описание
Wood turning with epoxy resin and a special feature. A color changing snowflake. Free hand router work with a nice chunk of figured maple, turning wood on a lathe, and a little bit of snow falling makes a perfect day.

Thanks to Len Shreck who noticed I put Nov instead of Dec on my date...lol! This bowl was completed on Dec 5, 2018, and the date on the bowl will be adjusted.. Great attention to detail Len! 🙂

I feel like people who love the snow still have a bit of a childish sense of being, not in a bad way but it puts me in awe every year when it shows up! I know lots of people who don't like it for various reasons but i myself love it because it brings me back to being a little boy playing in it and building igloos for boy scout camps and that feeling that Christmas is just around the corner. I don't blame folks for not liking it because it can be difficult to get around in but that feeling of childhood, love and Christmas out weighs the bad. Thanks for another great video! Thanks for being kind enough to share them and thanks for your service!

Somehow the blue seems more appropriate than if you had started the snowflake in white. Blue just gives the right perception of chill and coolness. The magic of seeing it turn white with temperature differences is so exciting. It's a lovely piece of workmanship.

My daughter watched your newest video and wanted to see more, so I started reading them off and landed on this. She said you talking about snow sounded just like me.

I reason I like your channel over the others is because you explain a lot about what you are doing and the tools you use. Other channels just go through the turning with no explanation and the kind of wood being use. Keep up the good work. Semper Fidelis.

That is so COOL! Once again Rod amazes his subscribers and soon to be subscribers with another amazing piece of art work. I'm sure you could make 100 of those bowls and they all would sell out in minutes after you post the video. Thanks Rod, it's always a delight to see what you do.

I feel the same way about snow. I feel sorry for those who only see the inconvenience snow may bring. We don't get white Christmases here anymore in Maryland; not since I was a child. Your work, as usual, is loverly. I always enjoy watching. Thanks so much for sharing.

Uhh...I love snow too..the sounds...the colours...the hole vibes and feelings you get...sadly we don't get enough of it in Denmark..but just enough to be lucky sometimes to get it...i always dream of a winter vacation on some mountain with ton of snow and a cosy wooden cabin...that would be special ☃️❄ love the bowl...nice size!
