Yeah no the eye can do a lot more than that, it’s the Swiss army knife of magical tools. Don’t believe me? Here’s a list of some of the things the Eye can do; create bright lights, create a magic beam that hurts ectoplasmic beings, hypnotism, force people to tell the truth, melt metal, pick locks, creates shields, locate objects, detect evil and magic, animate clothes, sense danger like the spider sense, drain magic, replay previous events, telepathy, open portals to other dimensions, allow the wearer to see everything and yes it can partially turn back time.

Well even in the MCU the *Eye of Agamoto* isn't just the container for the Time Stone. It's a container for any kind of Magic/Energy. In DSMoM you can clearly see Dr. Strange release Chaos Magic from the Eye so that he can see Gargantos.

The eye of agamatto can reverse or fast forward time a little and the infinity stone allows it to be easier and go back/forward even further. We never see him look back in time because he never had a reason and he never wanted to go back to his traumatic experience when he crash his car and other moments in his life. Although we do see his look through Time, most people assume it was just the time stone even though it partially is.
