My advice is, be faithful in the little; it will help you get better and also prepare you for the bigger things.
E.g. I love to speak; I make my self available for speaking events, I love to act, I make myself available for any acting gig, I love to write, I volunteer and help people write. That way, I am building myself for bigger opportunities and also doing what I love to do.
