I understand why the Footprints are loved, bottom end seems to translate a little tighter than the EVE’s. And a tad brighter in the mids but not in a displeasing way. The highs seem clearer on the EVE’s, it hard to beat a ribbon tweeter for range. However, the Cube mode seems to have more frequency range in them than actual ones and Hifi mode felt like a Hifi.. makes you think EVE could of done a bit more with their DSP implementation. If I had to choose between the based on listening to the imperfect feed. Footprint would win due to diversity of voicing opinions, but you have to give the bottom end extension to the EVE’s if you want the low lows! 😮

Footprint02 sound better here for me. SC307 sound like FP02's "old school" mode. Very strange

Footprints sound is very "composed" and it seems that the side firing bass allows for better clarity for front firing higher frequencies while at the same time keeping the "point" source source work well. The Eve's don't sound that great in this placement / setup. In general, I find the speaker configuration Eve uses in this model to always to compare unfavourable to other configurations. It works well when there is the additional mid-range below the tweeter (4070), but these two and half way speaker models seem to be targeted for affordable high sound pressure for the trade-off of sound quality, that is generally better both on cheaper models with traditional configuration and than again on pricier 3 or 3.5 way monitors.

FP02 all the way. EVE sounds like a box. I had my GF listen as well, said EVE was muffled. Also, your room is boomy.
