I play direct for 13 years had many cab sims and digital stuff over the years .
The best tip i can add is to go only AFTER the power tubes to the audio interface (like in the video) . Going line out from the amp fx send will give you thinner sound . That's also the disadvantage of many digital amps that lack the harmonics of the power section.

I have a Minimass myself & use it in the same way. Eric Haugen (check out his channel, great lessons) turned me onto them as he has one as well. This revolutionized my recorded guitar tones, my only regret is not buying one years ago.

Isn't it dangerous to have Ohm switch so close to bypass switch? 😄

Hello! I’m recording and have an honest question. I have a Mini mass speaker attenuator in red; maybe it is an old model. It’s all red. Left to right has impedance, normal/bypas, treble, and finally volume. I want to use a Marshall Class 5 tube amp, which has a 16-ohm tab, and my Fender Mustang 4/12 can, which is 8 or 4 ohms. There is a mismatch in impedance. Is the toggle impedance on the attenuator a matching or corrective toggle? Can I use the attenuator to match the 16 ohm tab of the amp to match 8/4 ohm on my speaker cab? I’m new to this and prefer to ask than to damage the gear.

Best,
A

Just bought one used on reverb, they’re going for a little more these days.

Nice job on the video. I know it's 4 years old, but still good information and still a great product. It's the attenuator I've chosen for my 30w JTM45.

BUT on an unrelated topic, I'm replacing my studio desk and I'm digging that desk of yours. Can you tell me who makes it or where you originally bought yours? I'm a fan of real wood. Warmer than glass, laminate, etc.!

Nice demo! Thanks. Would it be good this 50 watt Weber for a Marshall Sliver Jub 2525h(20 watt)? Can I use it with only headphones if I want? Thanks🤟🎸!

Hey, is a 25W version of this box good enough for a 15W head? Or should I get the Weber 50W box? Thanks. Great Video.

Can I use it with headphones somehow? Even if I need to plug in the computer.

I just want to listen to my entire setup, including my tube amp, in my headphone.

Hey, Thanks for the video. Can you use the Line Out as a headphone out for late night, kid friendly tube amp practice sessions?

Can you tell me what the purpose of the bypass is? Like, if you just left it inline with the speaker but wanted to shut it off every now and then, basically?

I have a vintage princeton, thats too damn loud. Would this work and how do you set it up?

When using the attenuator as a dummy load, do you still have the speaker output connected to a cabinet? Also, is your tubemeister 36 to full wattage (as it has it's own attenuator)? Great vid, thx

Something very wrong here. I hate metal. But I love your intro!!!

Have you used this with a cab? I dont think full attenuation is fully clockwise

Do you go to line-in input on your audio interface or instrument input from DI output of the attenuator ?

Received an email from Mr. Weber. He gave specific instruction to turn it all the way counterclockwise for use as a loadbox.

Thanks, found this video helpful and straight forward

Turning right for more attenuation? Looks like mistake, amp attenuate by turning to the left, and when volume is in wisper level, when volume knob turned to minimum, you can use minimass like load box without speaker! Someone may destroy they amp if they follow your advice

How does it compare to fancier more expensive attenuators like the Two Torpedo, Universal Audio Ox, and Rivera Rock Crusher?
