The fact that they reached Moscow is a victory. Ukraine is still the underdog, but taking the help it gets and very much its own ingenuity, it punches far above its weight. Each time Ukraine reaches into Russia, it loses face. Russia depends on its reputation of invincibility. Ukraine shows the world it is not.

I think you may have missed that both Ilyushin and Tupolev have their headquarters on the other side of the airport from the International Terminal and the principal Russian training school for aviation technicians and a major aviation research institute are also on the airport grounds. There is also a military aviation museum that, at least in 2021 when I visited, claimed to maintain about 50% of its aircraft in flying condition and which the Russian Air Force could be seeking to return to combat service.

Had a look at Google Earth view of Zhukovsky Airport; it's clearly used either operationally or for storage, of a whole lot of military aircraft types, including transports, bombers and fighters.
