Manioo should never have been in the England squad for me...this is the problem with English sport. One person has a good moment, and the next thing they are on this pedestal. I.e. different sport I know; but last weekend US Open? Jack Draper made it through to the 'semi final, next thing he was being compared to Andy Murray? and all the hype; then he lost. How quick they forget Cam Norrie was England not from 2021-2024 😱 There was all this hype about Manioo that I didn't see, for Southgate to shuffle the team to get him in. Jack Grealish has already shown why he should have played in the Euros. Again a problem with every England manager, they hear a name thrown out there or there is a player popular with the fans; and they feel the pressure to play the individual. It happen it happen with Beckham with Sven with Rooney, players don't only have dry spells or off moment at club level. Rooney psuh to make him top score was embarrassing. Most of those goals were pens a lot created by Sterling !! I'm all for bringing player's through; but we have a England U21s squad, Manioo is 19 let him learn his craft there. The Jude Bellingham of this world comes along once in a while. Sorry, Manioo, is not in this squad, with a talented squad England has and shoukd not have been selected for Euros. And now they have brought him up too early, and now he'll get dropped and what does that do for his confidence, looking to head back i to this squad instead of focusing on U21.); Honestly!!. I really don't even understand how Sterling is the forgotten individual🤔 who carried Hodgson and Southgate through their era, is suddenly nothing in this squad. Southgate didn't play Grealish because he got little minutes at City, but look at the city squad? Honestly I'm fed up with this fans, a player, and hype up. Good win tonight against Finland, and yes, Kane scored twice. But I'm not forgetting his performance at the Euros against tougher opposition. Suddenly, he's been compared to Ronaldo, and playing to his age 😮 I'm done with these comparisons. Kane is no Cristiano Ronaldo. I'm not convinced he'll be playing pass 35, if your bringing younger players through with speed, we saw how that didn't match up at the Euro. Sterling made Kane links to goals come through. I'm not comparing Kane to Ronaldo. No way.
