Years ago I tried to track the time for my projects. Here's an idea, Set a battery operated clock to 12;00. Put the battery in while you are working on the quilt and take the battery out when you leave the project. It did work but you have to get into the habit.

I don't keep track of how much everything costs to make a quilt. Most of mine are gifts. I keep very few. I just love making them & my heart is made right into each one. I haven't ever sold one.

Always fun to go through hoarded fabric...definitely feels like a treasure hunt. Love the Santa set into the red & white blocks. That would be awesome. And I love your idea of keeping a basket of squares to be sewn as beginners and enders. Good tip!

Pat, your Christmas fabrics are so cute. A funny thing about Santa, as children we all loved him but at the same time, we were kind of afraid of him as well. This thought came to me when you talked about seeing Santa on your front door as a little girl.
