Magnolia Bloom will be something I cast on soon. I don't know yet how the pattern knits the bobbles, but...on my current knit when I do the bobbles I have incorporated a tip that I learned lately to keep one's bobbles perky. The tip is to do the bobble, then wrap the yarn around it counter-clockwise, then carry on knitting. My bobbles are looking nice and round, and perky 😊

As always, an enjoyable podcast from you. I'm knitting on my second Ranunculus sweater. Seeing if I can break my record of 12 days of knitting on the first one. Using the new Shibui "Billow" held with their Silk Cloud in color way 'Suit'. It's a loving combination. Thanks for sharing your knitting with us.

I am working on my Elton cardigan as I watch! I just finished the first button band. I have just one more plus the neckband. I am so excited to wear it!

Hi Selma - Biscotte Yarns is a fantastic yarn shop in St-Bruno-de-Montarville. You may want to include it as part of your yarn crawl in the Montreal area. It’s about a 30 min drive from Montreal.

I discovered your podcasts a couple of months ago and have been binge watching them from the first one, I've now caught up and will miss my daily knitting with you. I'm just about to start my first ranunculus - wish me luck. Loved all you podcasts, thank you for doing them xxx

Hello Selma, regarding the Shawl for your sister in law: There are new colorways for Malabrigo Mechita. Maybe 697, Moon Trio Full is a similar colorway? :)

I also enjoyed the book about the Blue people. I agree it was a bit predictable but I learned about something and somewhere that I had no idea existed. Always a plus for me. I am currently knitting my first Ranunculus! Loving it.

Some people hold the yarn double for the ribbing…that might make it more durable….

There is a nylon thread for knitting into the heels and toes of socks and maybe that would give your husband’s sweater a little more strength!?

it's awesome that you share so much :))

For Alejandro's sweater's ribbing, consider re-knitting with reinforcing thread which is held together with the yarn to strengthen high-stress areas, usually sock heels and toes. The threads come in a range of colors so you should be able to find a match or close.

Such an enjoyable time. I feel like I’m chatting with a friend. Thanks to you I am considering another Ranunculus; I cannot believe it! Cheers!

Red is such a hard color to wear when you have blonde hair and pink undertones (as I do also!) But I actually think that red mohair suits your complexion really well 😊

Selma, I would recommend doing a folded hem on your husband’s sweater. The double thickness and folded under edge might make it more durable for him. I love the Magnolia sweater and have had my eye on it for awhile. I look forward to seeing your version! 💗

That Bindweed is DREAMY 😍 - perfect color on you and I love the cropped length! Now I’m itching to cast that on. Thank you for an inspiring episode, as usual!

Lovely episode as always Selma 😊 Your Bindweed looks beautiful on you! I too have been contemplating making a winter Ranunculus, possibly in white Plotulopi. Thank-you for suggesting Mary Lawson--I will definitely be checking her books out 🤗💕

Thank you so much for your lovely podcasts. I am a very recent empty nest mom, and these segments lift my spirits. Your scenery clips give me a glimpse into your beautiful nature and seasons. Your knitting and yarn segments are so thoughtful. And I recently took up audible and enjoy listening while i knit or do housework. Take care until next time!
