Nothing like walking along a wooded pathway and being surprised by butterflies. The marsh frogs are amazing also.

What a gorgeous property. I have purple martins here, coveted for their ferocious appetite for mosquitoes. Those frogs were certainly vocal, they look like my bullfrogs, but I haven't heard them like that ever. I heard screaming one night, ran out to find one had it's leg caught between the flagstone, set him free. And he may be the one that hangs out with me while I work in the garden, they're like the cats, I have to walk over them.

How Blessed that family is to have such a beautiful place all their own! On adding more trees, fruits and nuts of all kinds. The odd sounds, I thought it was some sort of goose! And no wonder they were being so noisy! 😉

I really enjoyed watching this part of the France series🥰
I loved hearing the frogs in the pond, they remind me of when we still lived in our flat.
A shallow ditch nearby with lots of vegetation was bussing (?) of activity of frogs.
When it was evening you could hear them croke (?) from the open bedroom window🥰
And hear bats hunt at dusk on the open grass field.

I'm hoping to attract as much wildlife as possible in our new, bigger garden👍🏻🥰🐸🐛🐦🐝🦋🐞
By then I will have the space to plan a proper wildlife cottage garden👌💚

Marsh frogs are one of my favourites, not native in the UK but still welcome in my opinion. Classic sound

Another Amazing video joel 🐸💚🐸 thanks so much for mentioning us.
Did you notice the marsh frog tadpole on the leaf when you took the close up of the male marsh frog ? 🐸💚🐸

A wonderful reminder of Summer, the little Wood White has now been split into 4 different sub species, that makes recording this lovely butterfly more difficult, they always float along the rides like pieces of tissue paper, and if you find a muddy mineral puddle there are usually dozens of them feeding. Many thanks for posting this! Chris B.

Those frogs were awesome, at first I really couldn’t put my finger on it then it came to me. What a sighting! I believe you can see these in the uk too? But they are not native am I right? Looks amazing Joel, I hope you had an amazing time! Best wishes, Spencer.

So enjoying your videos Joel. This summer we’re staying just outside Condom and, never having been quite so far south and west before, it was lovely to get a preview of that part of France. And your journey is going to inspire us in planning our route there and back. La Rochelle will be a definite visit, but if you have a moment could you please tell me where you stayed in Niort? And how do you find such unique accommodation? It would be lovely to support local people rather than the usual chains. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thankyou
