Russia is celebrating Victory Day, marking 75 years since the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War Two. This year's observance has been scaled back because of the coronavirus, with the Red Square military parade and a mass procession postponed. Vladimir Putin laid down flowers at the Eternal Flame near the Kremlin walls before giving a speech to the public. He called for Russians to stand together saying Russia is 'invincible' when united. Russia also staged an air show with seventy-five jets and helicopters flying over Moscow in a single formation - showcasing the country's most advanced warplanes. There are flyovers planned in 47 cities across the country.

No matter politics, you have to respect people who have died for the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and America during the most brutal war in history.

Even do the Germans committed crimes against innocent souls during that time which is wrong, but Germany is a great country which one country cannot fight alone, that why the British, France America and even Russia cannot stand it, so they come together and fight them, so nothing to celebrate about as an individual group

We are invincible echoes the very worst words any politician can make. Sadly this was the message of the perpetrators of WW2. Now shouted by the 'victors'... Before any label is applied we are humans, this simple and powerful message no longer is delivered by journalists, media, politicians, military leaders, and most telling religious leaders. Civilization, 2 billion humans at the time of the war, is now 8 billion precious humans. Civilization today faces it's most daunting challenges and the opportunities that come from them. Any serious attempts to tackle these challenges must start with At First I Am Human along with the realiztation that our only home, earth, has no borders, they are all man made and have shifted like desert sands for millenia.

Thank you Faniya, your people did win the war. I salute and applaud your generation and I distance myself from this appalling DW report where the word bombastic was utted four times. I look forward to the Victory Parade of 2020 commemorating victory in the Great Patriotic War, I celebrate with you and thank your generation and Russia.
