Nikki offering a master class on her YouTube channel for free. You are such a gem!! I have been making the mistake of setting my undereyes with a compact powder and am going to look into the Huda Beauty powder instead. 🥰

I'm definitely guilty of applying my foundation under my eyes and then going in with concealer. You can bet I won't make that mistake again. Thanks, Nikki! 🖤

You are so right. They recommend too much & then too much foundation. Mostly young women with good

what about a video about on the spot solutions for the REAL mistakes that happen vs technical error! like a flakey dry patch, water marks from rain/tears, smudged mascara, too much brow product, a stubborn blemish, etc!! Things that could happen to even the best artists!

Both sides look the same in that lighting. I wish we could see like real (not ring type light) lighting, close up etc. I love when some do this because you can actually see what things look like in real life!! Much more helpful!!

I think there’s a lot of research with the recommended amount of spf and it can become a soupy mess if you do that. You’re coming from a makeup artist perspective but if you actually give the spf a few minutes to sink in you can apply the proper amount and should still be able to have a great base for makeup. Another option is to apply multiple light layers. That tends to work for me.

Thanks Nikki. It’s good that a pro is showing the correct ways. Too many girls/women seem to believe whatever they see. I, for one, have very oily skin and have to be careful what I use or risk nasty breakouts.

I'm a new subscriber, but I've known you way before because of Susan. I'm now asking myself why I just subscribed now, lol. I appreciate your videos; I'm binge-watching your old videos. I appreciate that you post longer and educate your viewers. I should have watched you before the Sephora sale. Ugh.

Great tips, Nikki. It's also so important to let skincare productd, especially sunscreen, dry down before applying primer or foundation. I love the d'Alba First Spray Serum. I let it dry, the add my Vitamin C serum. And a lightweight Coq-10 serum. Then onto a moisturizer, used sparingly. A mineral sunscreen, which I let sit for about 20 mins. I have super dry skin, and this works for me. Yes. Smallest amount of primer. I never use a heavy foundation on my mature skin. No pilling, I get a very smooth application. I never take foundation up under my eyes.
Fabulous idea with the setting spray.
Thank you ever so much!💖💖

This was super helpful!! I didn’t know how to use setting powder with a brush or how to properly use setting spray. I will try this out today. The internet has so much information…the problem when you are not an expert in a field is trying to find accurate information. It’s so great when professionals share their knowledge. Thank you!

love the way you explain things ❤
can you make a tutorial on how to fix eyeliner after whole base and eye makeup is done but when we mess up the liner.
if i use micellar water and remove the liner with q tip, usually the concealer and everything underneath lifts off
i just don’t know what to do and then i pack on the eye shadow that iused previously and it just looks different 🥲
it happened to me countless number of times, still trying to get better 😅

Nikki, I had to use my pressed powder foundation as I ran out of my setting powder. I had no lines or caked looking mess but it looked very heavy and much more pigmented than I like to see. Essentially up close in natural sun light. I use Mercier translucent loose powder and the translucent compact for touch ups for the face. Thank you for the master class.

This is the content that sets you apart as a true professional- i know product endorsement is part of this industry but please keep it as minimal as possible.

Wow. The start about skin prep really helped me. I thought my foundations I bought were just not working with my skin but really it's my skin prep! The rule of 3 is programmed into my head. Thank you! 😊
