Toshiba Camileo X400 Camcorder Test

My review is that its an awesome camcorder in perfect lighting, but putting it in the dark isn't best for the X400 although it has a built in light it will have a grainy image even with night time mode on. Having said that I love this camcorder because of the focus as you can see in the start of the video.

The design of the Camcorder is very nice and small. I can do a video of the camera its self and a review if requested.

@MrGageBrown and @SuperSteveJO I have always edited videos with Sony Vegas 9 which I used for editing this video, but you do get a handy editing feature with the camera which you can only use to cut down and shorten clips with, so not for merging or putting separate clips together. @ionghansa there is a mic import on the camera, but there is no way of clipping the microphone it self to the camera. I might make a video of probably unboxing or just a look around the camera in the week.

@steppertNL The camera will turn off after 5 minutes or so if you leave the camera on without touching it or recording, so this doesn't waste much battery life. But with recording on the camera it seems like there is only around 30 minutes with the battery it comes with. However I haven't been able to test the camera with more than a 2GB SD card, so the 30 minute limit is probably the memory. I have no right or wrong answer sorry I will be testing it with more memory when I get a bigger SD card.

@steppertNL I have tested the battery with a 16GB SD card and its records for more than 1 hour and 30 minutes with the battery it come with.

I got this camcorder for Christmas and I tested it indoors and outdoors. The setting was on Full 1080 HD but it did not playback in HD. Is there any way to fix this? Or has anyone had problems like this?

how is the battery live? One said it is drained in 15 minutes with the preview screen on, another only had a max of 30 minutes recording time. guess the 1400mah battery is much to weak?

Im thinking about getting this camcorder as its only 150 pounds in argos but is the sound good on this camcorder or does it making a fuzzy noise? or any thing else that is a dissapointed
