Nice stand. I helped do a lot of the tree breeding when i worked with IP in their genetics section. We were kicking out alot of second generation Super Trees and were just beginning to get some of the gen 2.5 seedlings out and were breeeding gen 3.0. I planted some of the 2.5 gen on a 15 acre tract on my farm. We thinned at 8 years and the trees were topping around 50'. They are now 18 years old and are in the 75' to 80' height and are 90% chip and saw now with some approaching sawtimber. Its a very good site with a site index of around 80 i believe. Hardly any rust in any of those trees even before they were thinned the first time.

Even if it is "worn out" that machine in the hands of your brother sure can eat timber in a hurry!!
