Yes! This is what I feel the Forgecraft series should be about, dire exploring the intended use of mods he either never used, were changed or added to in a major way (mekanism) and generally testing out the progression and balance of mods.

Re - charging gadgets, could add a battery item and make the charging box into an energy provider for bocks next to it (probably with an interface like Mekanism's energy cube). And that'd be it, a box that generates energy, stores a bit of energy and can use batteries to increase its storage or make energy portable, and provides on demand. And then you're done. Don't even worry about cables, you'd have batteries and another charging box isn't that hard to craft.

Hear me out...one of the Dire generators is an Enderman Head generator (recipe: 3 enderman heads, 2 eyes of ender, 2 blaze rods, and a Dire Machine frame)

You should have your DireWire mod use wires to produce RF/FE passively, so every piece of wire generates 5 RF(FE)/tick... meaning that in order for it to be useful you have to DireWire your whole base, but the trade off is that every wire can connect to RF-consuming blocks. Heck, you could change it from a joke mod to a viable power source by having the RF generation be equal across the whole network: one wire makes 5 RF/t, but two connected wires each produce 10 RF/t separately and 5 each produce 25 RF/t separately. DireWire for days! Plus, the "generator room" would be just a massive cube of connected wires, which would look awesome!

(If that's too much, scale down the amount each wire produces, so that it requires more wires to get to a good amount of generation)

Driver seems to be a powered I/O cable which allows you to expand on the cube, instead of interacting directly on/with the cube itself, ie: automatically pulling and pushing items into machines/inventories, without the need for RS/AE2 export/import, like an entangloper?

The best thing for the ender rift to do with the items is have a warning siren, then like the ghost vault in ghostbusters 1 when they turned off the power, start spewing items like that did ghosts ;)

Also, maybe the automation driver allows crafters (or anything that can pull items from an inventory) direct access to the ender rift?

Would be really useful as a storage and ender chest for all the stuff produced by miners/quarry, if storage bus works you can leave cobble dirt ecc in there, and active import ores to process

I think the automation drive piece is meant for performing automation like crafting and the like.
