This video saved me. I was about to lose it on my sister lol. She always opens the door while I’m still driving like wait until im parked and it’s off. This time she did it on my 2023 Tacoma and I got pissed because I had no idea it had a switch by the door. She used to do it on my t100 and that one was annoying

not being able to open the doors from the inside is so dangerous! I almost never have passengers but when I did recently, he couldn't open the door. Luckily we weren't in a fiery car crash lol geez! I had to come find this right away to make sure that never happens again. isn't that how people die? lol.

I couldn’t get my child lock back off. Turns out if you hold the handle from the outside while lifting the child lock, it will switch off. Thought I’d share if anyone else needed to know.

I have two friends with Hondas and they both have the same issue: The child locks ignore the child lock switch. One took their 2005 C-RV to the dealer/stealer and they could not get it to work. I couldn't get either to work. Is this a recall issue or something? Or should it be? Is this just a simple mechanical switch? Might some WD-40 help? Is this a known, common problem?

Except on the 4Runner the switch is easily jammable after you engage the lock and will not reverse.
