Just to clarify, there are many methods of playing harp. Some methods don’t even have you close your thumb at all. You do a circle or you keep the thumb straight and pluck with your wrist. Some methods want curved fingers, some want straight fingers, some want high elbows, some allow for resting your arms on the soundboard. There are multiple “correct” ways to play harp 😊

I loved playing harp. I started at 6 y/o and stopped at 12. Why you may ask ? My teacher was a bitch. I was coming home crying and screaming, no matter why I would do she would yell at me, call me lazy…the music school was 20minutes away from my school and she would give me the worst classes so I would always be late. When my depression started she would always call me lazy for not working even tho a lot was going on at home and at school (bullying) so this video got me crying because I remember loving it and I followed you this morning for this feeling again and I want to have this passion again :/
