Lucasfilm dropped a couple of trailers today for shows I've said I'm interested in, so let's see how the trailers make them look.

They're making a Willow show?! That's amazing! I loved Willow as a kid!

Council of Geeks -- Vera, I don't know if you plan to do episodic or season-wide reviews on the Willow series (or a review of the original movie) but it might be cool when you can fit it into your schedule. The trailer for the upcoming series looked interesting, like there's substantive story and continuing the mythos. Very much liked that Warwick Davis is returning. (Hmm, just think if Peter Dinkledge and Warwick Davis co-starred in something. Could be interesting. Have you ever seen the Station Agent? It's not SF&F, it's present-day, poignant slice of life, but I thought it was an interesting watch, a few years ago now.)

I’m ok with Andor if it’s a limited run, I did like that they built the trailer around what seems like different alarm sounds (to warn of impending invasion by stormtroopers I imagine) and I’ll probably watch, but again, I hope it’s a one and done series. I must admit I don’t think I’ve ever seen Willow, or if I did it was a very long time ago. Maybe I’ll watch it first and then see if I’m interested.

It's been years since I last rewatched Willow. If they do something with it, I'd hope they'd cast Warwick Davis in a recurring guest star or regular role.
Andor -- The moment I saw that pop up on a YouTube thumbnail, I immediately thought it was about Andor and Andorians, probably about Hemmer from SNW, a Star Trek thing. I had no idea Disney had anything titled Andor or what that's about, since I only know of Star Trek and of Andorra, the real-life small country in Europe. It might be hilarious if CBS / Paramount and Disney go to court over copyright on the name Andor.... (Our world has gone so crazy already, I wouldn't be surprised.) So... Meh...? (Edited by self to fix misspelled name.)

The Willow trailer sold both my wife and myself. Granted, we both love the movie, so we're already marks, but this feels like an organic growth from the original feature. (I do hope this turns out to be more of an original story, and that it doesn't adapt material from the Chris Claremont novel trilogy from the 90's. Yeah... that was kind of not good...)

Didn't realise there was a Willow trailer, although it could have dropped overnight for me. I really need to watch the original again.
From the trailer, Andor has me hopeful that they might do something different, with no major Skywalker Saga characters involved. Maybe the formation of a small rebel unit, using guerilla tactics, that later joins the full rebellion.

I was so excited to see they finally gave us a trailer and release date for Willow!!! Is a lot of the excitement nostalgia? Probably, but I'm so excited!

Much more interested in Andor after watching Obi1, hopefully they flow into each other well.

I have to admit to being ... confused might be the best word, for Andor. I'm sure people will enjoy it and I"m happy about that, but ... was anyone REALLY asking for it? I mean, I know you could say the same about Willow, but that's about a main character from the movie he was in, so it makes sense to have a show about him. But Andor? Erm, I'm not so sure.

I mean, we already KNOW his ending. And I know people could say the same about Obi-Wan, but, again, he was a main character and this is a story that somewhat needs to be told. I'm not getting the same vibe from Andor. He was a side character in a "Star Wars Story" that WASN'T part of the main saga, at least not really. Just confuses me.

Again, could just be me.

0:52 "Wonderfully cheesy theme", how very dare you, a great score by the amazing James Horner and you call it cheesy? The cheek of it!! 😁😁😁
I jest of course, thanks for the heads up, I knew Willow series was on the horizon but didn't know the trailer had dropped so it was a good opportunity to go watch it. Looks like it might be good, I haven't seen the original film in many a year but there was a time (also doing the nostalgia trip here) when I absolutely adored it and would watch it again and again - I'm a genre nerd anyway but Warwick Davies has such a great screen presence and I had a bit of a crush on Joanne Whalley at the time! Ha! One of my friends also pointed out that Jean Marsh was in Willow and in Doctor Who so we use to fangirl about that endlessly.
I'm all fingers crossed that they can do it well all this time later... Hope you will be reviewing Vera, that will be a nice bonus. 🤞

So excited for the Willow series., A sort of Celtic vibe in some of the locations and imagery is much more apparent than in the original movie, which I like. I'm glad they didn't recast Meegosh, and I can only assume that's out of respect for David J Steinberg who has passed on since the movie. He was such a great actor though. Yeah, this series looks excellent.

I’m keen for Willow. Liked that film as a kid.

But a prequel to a Star Wars prequel? That I didn’t enjoy that much? I’m sorry but if Rogue One couldn’t make me care about those characters it’s too late to have another crack.

Either she just sounds like a guy or IS a guy lol. And also there was no reason to make a Andor show people forgot about him until this trailer dropped
