*THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!*
It's a whodunnit in today's episode as we slowly but surely uncover the mystery of the ruined windscreen. Was it an accident - or something more sinister? (And don't worry, I don't hold it against the culprit).
We're joined by Joey for three episodes and in typical fashion, while Connor gets dragged off to an island to experience the ice age and Sharla is forced to ruin her voice box with impressions of Emma Bunton, Joey gets to eat an apple pie and build a 1980's bar from scratch. Still, our unsettling and weird accommodation cancels out some of the fun.
Myself and the team have spent the week working hard on these last five episodes to release throughout January and bring the series to a close - a preview of which you'll find tucked in at the end of the episode! Thank you for your patience though guys; it was important for everyone working on this to have a Christmas/New Year's holiday, which is why things slowed down. But we've been back editing like mad (and waiting to clear certain 80's songs in this video) and we're excited to wrap up the last leg of the epic journey alongside Joey and Pete. Enjoy the episode!

I love this series "British man driving Fridge with wheels across North of Japan".

I love how Joey is treated as the favourite child in these videos

I like the fact that when Connor bought the pig Chris wasn't really into it but now it seems like it became his favorite thing in car, always scarying the new guests.

I love how Mr. Pig was the most nonsensical thing for your car, but now is the cheerful crucible that every passenger has to pass through. I might do something similar 😂

I guess you could safely call it a «key-car» from now on :)

The shot of Chris and Joey outside the van talking. While the van shaking behind them had me dying 😂

4:28 I knew I recognized that cafe somewhere. It is the same cafe from the anime Flying Witch, where the ghost girl was serving the witches, the fox and such.

Dear god the cut to "this isn't wacky weekend, this is wacky shit" at 5:41 has me in tears. It's so good. The timing, the editing, top tier

Connor is watching Joey and Chris complaining about sleeping in a bed under a thick comforter with a roof, walls, and some semblance of climate control… and is plotting a Journey Across Tasmania, on foot, in July for just those two!

4:26 This cafe is shown in manga and anime series Flying Witch by Ishizuka Chihiro. The story takes place in Tsugaru Region. It's a really good and comfy iyashikei series combined with "traditional" magic instead of a flashy ones.

Having hotel rooms just a few steps from bars and restaurants is nice though. That's the main thing I like about going on cruises.

I love seeing these wholesome moments with the whole crew. Even if they are contractually obliged ;)
Seriously though, watching the camaraderie of everyone in the bar-v was such a joy to watch.

The challenge this episode is awesome cause everyone got to have fun! The car getting scratched also lead to the theme of the bar so... lol. It just makes the second half kinda sad cause you see all of the closed up bars there with no people but you can imagine how lively they must've at least been with the little party in the rv earlier.

The series is about to end! I'm kinda sad about that, too. Watching JaJ had always been something fun to look forward to.

I think Chris was a bit too harsh on the snack bar hotel. I can see why he might of seen it as creepy/sad that all of those snack bars had to end up as hotel rooms, but rooms/beds themselves look very clean and cozy, especially compared to some of the love hotels they've been too.

More importantly, I think it effectively brings into perspective that certain forms of leisure weren't really made to last. Joey even said that he didn't prefer the currently operational snack bars, as they seem "sketchy" and "un-inviting". The hotel is really neat, as it is acting as a sort of livable museum for how people used to enjoy their off time, while simultaneously providing a needed service in current day. It's a rare win-win situation in today's world.
