Joe Kelly is having a blast with these new pitching rules. There was an at bat in the last couple games where the batter took his timeout early in the count and Kelly just started smiling. He proceeded to completely mess with the hitter the rest of the at-bat.

Joey Kelly was the personality of the last Red Sox championship squad. He could throw 101.4 mph & 85 mph 12-6 curve. He baffled hitters while in Beantown. My favorite bullpen pitcher. If you messed with a teammate, drilled someone earlier, he has no problem drilling the other teams best player, then fighting them later. He pitches relaxed & Nobody intimidates him. It looks like a one finger pitch that thrown like a two seam.. It can go multiple ways depending on the delivery. It can resemble a two seam, slider, sinker, curveball etc. I used to throw it when I was younger except I threw it with two fingers since my hands were small lol and always had great results. Oil can boyd actually taught me that pitch.

It didn't really look like a curve though. I think it was probably supposed to be but he got on the side of the ball and gave it gyro spin. It looks more like a slider, but he hasn't thrown one since 2018.
