Natural de La Habana, el prestigioso pianista cubano Alfredo Rodríguez proviene de una familia de músicos. Su padre, Alfredo Rodríguez (más conocido como Alfredito) ha sido durante décadas un popular cantante, actor y presentador de televisión en Cuba.
Formado en los conservatorios de música de La Habana y en el “Instituto Superior de Arte”, Alfredo tocaba en el Festival de Jazz de Montreux en 2007 cuando el legendario músico y productor Quincy Jones cayó rendido por el arte de este gran pianista, apadrinando desde entonces su imparable carrera como estrella del jazz.

Born in Havana, the prestigious Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodríguez comes from a family of musicians. His father, Alfredo Rodríguez (better known as Alfredito) has been a popular singer, actor and television presenter in Cuba for decades.
Trained at the music conservatories of Havana and at the “Instituto Superior de Arte”, Alfredo was playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2007 when the legendary musician and producer Quincy Jones fell in love with the art of this great pianist, sponsoring him since then his unstoppable career as a jazz star.
