The latest leaks show that a new PS5 revision is INCOMING! There have long been rumours of a 6nm Playstation model for some time, so could these leaks be showing the PS5 6nm version?

We examine what changes Sony could have made to the hardware of the Playstation 5, including changes in the cooling fan and heatsink, and the way the base connects to the main body of the PS5 console as well as as any internal changes like the possible switch to 6nm. The leak also claims that the release date for this new revision / model of the PS5 next gen console is coming very soon, so what kind of price and stock availability can we expect for this new model?

We also have a leaked benchmark for Intel Alder Lake, specifically the 12900K flagship CPU for the new hybrid processors from Intel. This new CPU benchmark shows it BEATING the current AMD Zen 3 flagship processor, the Ryzen 5950X. Of course, whether or not this will be true for gaming peformance remains to be seen, and of course more performance benchmarks will be needed before calling the battle between Intel Alder Lake Hybrid CPUs and Zen 3 and Zen 4.

We also have leaks for the RX 6600 XT lower end RNDA 2 RX 6000 GPU, and an interesting new update for Nvidia's DLSS 2.0 upsampling technology.

Knowing Sony and the PS4 Pro, I suspect that the 300 gram weight reduction was "accomplished" by replacing the heatsink with a couple of folded sheets of aluminum foil and subsequently ramping up the fan speed to 500 000 rpm! #NotBitter

Sort of glad I couldn't buy a PS5 at launch. I'm still going to keep saving up and hopefully by November, my birthday, I'll be able to find one in stock. Might find a deal with getting a new 4K TV with a PS5 since my current TV is only FullHD.

5 or 6nm will only be used when it allows them to reduce the fysical size of the console.
Resulting in lower shipping cost and to save money on the cooling solution, vrms and psu...
So in otherwords maybe a slim edition.

AMD used to be known for "value for money". Since they beat Intel they broke all the limits of price. I'll be really happy if Intel takes the place again.

WRT the i9-12k beating the Ryzen 9 5950x.. Of course it would. It would be pretty sad if the next Gen Intel CPU did not beat the last Gen AMD CPU. If it beats the Next Gen AMD processor, that will actually be news.

Sony has always run their consoles hot since the PS2, they push them pretty hard.

There were several revisions of the PS3 and cooling was an issue until the later models. My first PS3 cooked itself.

They may release another version with just modified cooling.

I think it's just that the Wi-Fi chip is now a type that captures the 5GHz signal more widely.
