Test Driving The Aston Martin V12 Vantage #TBT - Fifth Gear

In this weeks #ThrowbackThursday, Tiff grabs some air in the V12 version of Aston Martin's Vantage.

Guess I'm just an old guy, but the manual transmission makes this car far more desirable than a paddle-shifted anything else. I was getting my dad's Rover 2000 TC airborne when I was 18. From that time to this, shifting has for me been one of the most satisfying aspects of driving. Knowing when to do it, and how, and merging the process smoothly with other ones like steering and braking. When you can drive fast, smooth, and safe, it's a natural high!

This is better than a 599 GTB. I died a little when I saw those sparks from bottoming out. Please Tiff leave that for the Dodge's!

You know, there is a highway on-ramp to Interstate 95 south from Douglas Avenue in Providence, RI USA that has a nice dip in it that if you hit it at speed you can get a car off the ground.
