(70) Sargent 6400 IC HF keyway, Quick and dirty picking and gutting

I got this new pair of older model Sargent interchangeable cores this evening and I wanted to try getting them on video while I had time this week. These are the model 6400 which is a temporary construction core used prior to the installation of the very similar model 6300.
The locks look like older models given the logo and pin design. Sargent tends to still use more rounded key pins than many manufacturers but that doesn't make them easier. The keyway offers some interesting warding that can hang your picks up even if it doesn't stop thicker picks from fitting but the biggest trouble spots are the two separate shearlines created by the plug and locking collar and the 'constant height' pin stacks (every pin stack is the same overall height with different length driver and master pins in each chamber in addition to the build up pins for the control collar). It makes it very easy to accidentally set some pins to the wrong shearline. With a little bit of care these shouldn't be too difficult for a moderately skilled picker. Enjoy!

Nicely picked. True enough, turn on the camera and the rules change for no apparent or logical reason. :) Thanks for sharing.
