Caitlyn Jenner Files Court Docs for Gender & Name Change

Jenner is seeking to make her name and gender modification legal to better match her new identity.
Jenner, 65,filed paperwork with the Superior Court of California, requesting her name be legally changed to "Caitlyn Marie Jenner" and that her gender be modified to female. TMZ obtained the official documents that she submitted that read "Petitioner now seeks to change her legal name and gender pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure ... in order to conform to her gender identity."
When this legal proceeding is complete, she will receive a new birth certificate with the updated information. It is interesting to note that she signed the documents with her current legal name William Bruce Jenner, which is her current legal name.
It’s clear that Jenner is seeking to live her authentic life and these legal documents are one more step she must take to fulfill her transition. And because her transition has been public , and she has petitioned the court for privacy, asking them to seal her legal and medical documents from the public, saying QUOTE, "Although public support for my transition has been overwhelmingly supportive, I am also receiving unwelcome negative attention from private citizens, including threats of bodily harm." A physician's declaration was attached to the documents but not released pending a decision on sealing them.
While Caitlyn withstands a lot of public attention, sometimes very brutal and harsh, she told Vanity Fair in July QUOTE "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, 'You just blew your entire life,' "

Caitlyn Marie Jenner. Hmmm....I like it. I'm so happy for her. She deserves to be happy. Life is too short to try to please others. If you only focus on pleasing yourself you'll be much happier. Its not bad to make others happy but you need to focus on your happiness too.
